Chitral is a region of breathtaking beauty, but it is also one of profound isolation. Nestled in high terrain, the valleys are often cut off from the rest of the world during harsh winters and climate disasters. For individuals with disabilities, this isolation is compounded by the lack of infrastructure and access to basic resources. In Chitral, people with disabilities face daily challenges that most of us cannot imagine. The nearest hospital may be 50 miles away, but reaching it takes 2-3 hours through rough, off-road terrain. For many, there is no support system—no lifeline beyond the morning sun and the evening moon.
The Bibi Noor Care (BNC) initiative aspires to bring smiles and hope to those most in need. We believe that even small acts of kindness can create profound change:
A white cane can give a visually impaired person independence.
A free health checkup can change the course of someone’s life.
A wheelchair can ease the burden on an elderly parent caring for their child.
A small gift of groceries can provide comfort and dignity.
In these remote terrains, where eagles soar above the peaks, BNC aims to empower those with disabilities to live with the same strength and freedom as the eagles themselves.
Currently, BNC is conducting surveys across the valleys of lower Chitral to identify the most deserving individuals. Once the process is streamlined, we will extend financial aid, offer free health checkups, and provide essential accessories like wheelchairs and white canes to improve mobility and quality of life. Our goal is simple yet profound: to bring light and hope to those who need it most, one step at a time. Because even the smallest gift can make the biggest difference. Together, through Bibi Noor Care, we can bring change and hope to the most isolated corners of Chitral. Let’s ensure that no one is left behind.
1st BNC Ramadan Package Distribution for Persons with Disabilities in Lower Chitral
The Bibi Noor Foundation (BNF) successfully conducted its first BNC Ramadan Food Package Distribution for 25 persons with disabilities in Lower Chitral. The event was held at the main hall of Alkhidmat Foundation School, Qutaiba Campus, and was graced by Mr. Abdul Haq, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Chitral Lower, as the Chief Guest.
Numerous male and female volunteers warmly welcomed the special guests to the venue. In his remarks, the Chief Guest praised the efforts of the Bibi Noor Foundation in promoting education through initiatives like BNSP and DASP, and extended his appreciation for BNF’s continued support through BNC. “I sincerely thank the founder of BNF for his generous support towards the talented and deserving youth of Chitral, as well as his compassion for persons with disabilities during this holy month of Ramadan,” he said.
Recipients comprising widows, individuals who are blind, paralyzed, physically impaired, polio survivors, and others with mobility challenges were visibly joyful and thankful as they received their food packages.
The volunteers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to BNF for giving them the opportunity to be part of such a noble cause, committed to serving humanity with compassion and dignity.
